On the morning of September 26, 2026, at the Continental Hotel, the Institute of Education Sciences and Training Research (IES Institute) hosted the Ceremony for the Exclusive Transfer of the “Day-Care Nursing Home” model in the three Indochina countries and the Education Program between Vietnam and New Zealand. The event marks a turning point in creating a comprehensive community healthcare ecosystem, meeting the urgent needs of modern society.

The program was honored to welcome the presence of: Mr. Phonesy Bounmixay – Consul General, Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Ho Chi Minh City; Comrade Nguyen Hung Hau – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Xuan Hoa Ward People’s Committee; Ms. Phan Nguyen Ngoc Xuan My – CEO of Innovest Group; Representatives of the Medical Equipment Partner; along with representatives from press agencies and distinguished guests.

Entering a new era, the trend of population aging is occurring rapidly in the Indochina region in general and in major cities of Vietnam in particular. The pressure of a fast-paced lifestyle makes it difficult for many young families to allocate time for the proper care of their grandparents and parents. In this context, healthcare for the elderly is no longer just the responsibility of each family but has become a core social welfare mission for the entire society.
Recognizing this mission, at the event, the IES Institute, Kalandra Education Group, and Innovest Group officially conducted the transfer ceremony of the “Day-Care Nursing Home” model, while simultaneously formulating a practical training strategy for Elderly Healthcare according to international standards.
The advanced model from New Zealand harmoniously combines daytime international-standard medical care and rehabilitation services while ensuring that the elderly maintain a warm lifestyle, bonding with their families and community in the evening. This is considered a sustainable welfare solution, perfectly suited to the modern urban lifestyle and the traditional cultural values of the East.
Delivering the opening remarks at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Hung Hau – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Xuan Hoa Ward People’s Committee, affirmed: “The local government highly appreciates this international cooperation initiative between the IES Institute and its partners from New Zealand. The Ward People’s Committee always welcomes, supports, and is committed to creating favorable conditions so that these educational, medical, and social welfare cooperation models can soon demonstrate practical value, effectively serving the lives of the people.”

In addition to transferring operational procedures, the cooperation in training and upgrading medical equipment systems from partners also opens up opportunities to standardize the capacity of the domestic nursing workforce, creating high-quality career opportunities locally. The event is not only a vivid testament to the international cooperation efforts between Vietnam and New Zealand but also opens up prospects for connecting and sharing fine social welfare values with neighboring countries in the region.
